MY CURRENT OBSESSIONS

1. The Wet Brush
2. Goody Simple Styles Spin Pin
3. CoverGirl NatureLuxe Foundation

Happy Friday everyone! I hope you’re ready for the weekend and some beautiful spring weather. Just wanted to take a quick second to share some of my current obsessions. They all happen to be beauty related this week, but I promise they won’t always be.

To start off, The Wet Brush has literally saved my life. I have always struggled with brushing my hair. My Dad actually would blow dry my hair for me up until the age of 10 (bless him). It just seems like every time I brush it, I’m in pain trying to get all of the knots out. And then 10 minutes later it’s already a giant knot again. Well, I no longer have this problem. The Wet Brush is designed to glide through wet hair (just out of the shower hair) and detangle those nasty knots. I think it’s intended for kids, but if it works it works! I no longer need to use detangler and therefore my hair stays clean longer. Its only $6.89 on Amazon.com. Have you ever bought a brush for $6.89?!

I recently ran across the Goody Simple Styles Spin Pins and was a bit confused. First of all, they look like trampoline springs and are intended for your hair?  If you read the paragraph above, you’ll understand why I wouldn’t want to use them. I can barely brush my hair let alone pull a metal spring out of it. But, to my surprise, these little pins pop in and out without any pulling or pinching. They are intended to be used to hold a bun (instead of using a hair tie). I’ll post a quick video tutorial this weekend on how to use them, but I promise it’s really easy. And they keep your hair in place! If you’re putting your hair in a bun frequently (I feel like everyone is right now because they are in style), I highly recommend these.

Lastly, CoverGirl NatureLuxe foundation. I know, this has been out for almost a year but I finally got around to trying it. It’s super light and still provides good coverage. It also comes in my shade (see though/translucent skin -100) so that makes me happy! This also works great with the Beauty Blender.

Enjoy!
